Search for places

Find places or things to practise in Google Earth. You can search for specific and general locations, such as:

  • City, Land: Buffalo, NY
  • Metropolis, State: London, England
  • Street proper name: Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA
  • Specific address: with number, street name, city, state, and land, such every bit 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC, United States
  • Null or Postal code
  • Longitude, Latitude: in decimal format, 37.vii, -122.2 or DMS format, 37 25'19.07"N, 122 05'06.24"W
  • General places: coffee in NYC

View places

  1. Open Google Earth.

  2. In the top of the left mitt console in the Search box, enter a location.
  3. Press Enter or Return.
  4. Earth volition zoom into that location on the map.

View or delete searches

You can see or delete previous Google Earth search results on your computer any time.

Find previous search results

Google World saves your near recent searches. On your figurer, you'll see recent searches in a list when yous blazon in the Search box.

You can also look at a listing of previous searches:

  1. In the left-hand panel under "Search," click History. To the left of "Search History," yous'll see a Checkmark Checkmark.
  2. If the Search History isn't already open, go to the finish of the row, so click More than Add. You'll see a folder for each place you've searched.
  3. To open a folder, click More Add. You'll encounter a list of search results.
  4. Double-click the link for whatever of the places you want to revisit. Globe volition zoom into that location on the map.

Delete previous search results

  1. In the left-hand panel under "Search," click History.
  2. In the lesser right, click Clear History.

Note: The Clear History button shows upwardly at the end of the list of your search results. If you oasis't cleared your history in a while, you might have to gyre downwardly to run into the button.
